Family Life at First

Sunday Morning Worship
Our worship is led by Barbara Morrison, our Musical Co-ordinator and a team of musicians and singers leading the congregation with a wide range of Christian music for all ages. The children and young people leave for their own Sunday morning programmes during the service. Following the service each week tea and coffee is provided in the 'Welcome Area'. This is a great time to catch up with friends and make some new ones! JAM - "Jesus and Me" is our Sunday School for children in P1 - P7. The children leave for JAM during the main service where they learn about Jesus through singing, stories and craft! Dee-ciples is our Bible Class for young people in Year 8 and above. They enjoy learning about Jesus through drama, discussion and DVD's. A fully staffed crèche is also available.

Bible Study & Prayer
As Christ's church we actively encourage everyone to draw close together in prayer life and studying the Bible. We encourage prayer through all our organisations an through the use of the prayer cards in the pews. We have a prayer team who meet weekly to pray for the church and wider community. We have various fellowship groups in the congregation in addition to special study programmes

Youth and Children

We have a strong desire to see the children and young people of Donaghadee come to faith in Jesus Christ. Our children's work begins at a very young age through our 'First Steps' Babies & Tot's group, Crazy Tuesday's, JAM, Dee-ciples and Funky Friday's. In addition to this we also run programmes for young people including Youth Alpha, youth events and informal get- togethers. We also have a flourishing Scout Group and Girls' Brigade

We are active in trying to reach out to adults of all ages. Our Men's Fellowship and Women's Groups meet on a regular basis. We also have a programme called 'Coffee and Chat' which meets on Friday mornings. This is an informal get together for men and women of all ages who enjoy meeting with others for some chat with tea/coffee and scones.
